Sarah Khan joined the The Law Firm of Poppe & Associates, PLLC in early 2016. A New York City native, Sarah earned her B.A. degree from St. John’s University in Queens, and later earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2015.
While in law school, Sarah focused on family and matrimonial law. She gained experience working at the Children’s Law Center, a private family and matrimonial firm, and for a matrimonial judge in the New York County Supreme Court. In addition to founding the Family Law Organization at Brooklyn Law School, she also competed as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society- Trial Advocacy Division, and served on the executive boards of the Muslim Law Students Association and the Student Criminal Law Society. She also volunteered as a MYLE (Motivating Youth Through Legal Education) coach, working with high school students to prepare them for constitutional law debates.
Sarah currently serves as a member of the Family Court and Family Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
Sarah speaks Urdu and Hindi, and studied Arabic at St. John’s University. She is also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys practicing yoga, reading graphic novels, embroidering, and spending time with her large family.
