Maimuna Doulah is a prospective law student who joined The Law Firm of Poppe & Associates, PLLC in 2014. Muna recognizes the value in being a member of a boutique law firm. Here Maimuna took notice of the relationships dependent on the care of client’s best interest and respect for the law that may have been missed at a larger firm.
Maimuna has always been a helping hand. As a first generation bi-lingual woman of Bangladeshi heritage Maimuna has been an advocate for those in her community. She offered free tutoring sessions to Bangladeshi immigrant children in the neighborhood who were failing school due to language and societal boundaries, the efforts of which resulted in many of these children gaining admittance into college. Today she continues to respect the value of giving back and participates in various community service events throughout New York.
A recent graduate of Lehman College, Maimuna double majored in English Literature and Philosophy with a specialization in Ethics and Public Policy and was a dedicated member of the Lehman Lightning Track and Field team. A membership she credits to instilling dedication and a love of fitness, a love she continues to this day as a certified indoor cycling instructor teaching on her off time while she continues her studies in preparation for law school.
On her free time Maimuna leads an active lifestyle with hobbies such as hiking, yoga, weightlifting and teaching cycling classes. With a passion for law and aiding those that are in need Maimuna has the qualities that will make a great lawyer. Look out for this young woman on the rise.
