Anyela “Angie” Perez is one of the paralegals for The Law Firm of Poppe & Associates, PLLC.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Angie moved to New York City at the age of eleven. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Williams College where she studied Political Science, Latino Studies, and French. While at Williams College, Angie studied abroad in Paris, France for a year where she immersed herself in French culture and language.
Angie has experience conducting qualitative research in the United States and abroad, most recently as a recipient of the nationally sponsored and world recognized Fulbright research grant. During her year long Fulbright research grant, Angie worked intimately with internally displaced communities in the cities of Bogota and Cartagena. Her research sought to highlight the plight of millions of people affected by the ongoing armed conflict in Colombia as well as the resilience and advocacy work of local community women)leaders.
Angie’s experience working with diverse communities, her experience as an immigration paralegal, her empathy and dedication to working with those in need, her aptitude for relentless research, and her fluency in multiple languages brings an unmatched competitive advantage to the legal team of Poppe & Associates.
During her free time, Angie enjoys exploring different neighborhoods in New York City, reading, spending time with her family, particularly her younger brothers, and traveling to new and exciting destinations abroad.
